ORIENTAL RUG CLEANING EXPERTS
Step 1: Inspection of Your Precious Rug
At our plant, one of our experienced Rug Cleaning technician inspects your rug thoroughly on both the front and back surfaces. The first step to rug restoration is pre-inspecting the rug and noting areas where extra attention is needed, such as spots, stains and odor. After the rug has been assessed, our skilled technicians remove any loose dust, dirt and debris. We make sure you know, upfront, the condition of your rug.
Step 2: Dust Removal, Conditioning & Treatment
If not properly removed, dust can cause a lot of damage to your precious Rug. Ordinary vacuuming with your home vacuum cleaner cannot reach deep enough into the fibers to clean out all of the particulates!
We use compressed air to rid your rug of particulates. We use the exact pressure needed to remove all dust and particulates from your rug without damaging any of the fibers or the colors. Regular rug cleaners don’t use this method because they don’t have the specialized equipment that is necessary to do this job. After the dust removal we apply state of the art Conditioning and Treatment specifically used for oriental rugs to make sure we get the best results possible.

Step 3: Hand Washing Process
The rug is then carefully hand-washed both sides multiple times in our wash pit and placed through our water extractor. Once your Oriental rug has been thoroughly cleaned, it is then rinsed to remove all of the soils and cleaning agents. It may surprise you to know that East Bay Oriental Rug Cleaning’s rinsing process is so thorough that our final rinse water is actually clean enough to drink! Caution! We do not recommend you try this with any other company’s rinse water.
Step 4: Drying Process
If the drying process is too fast or too slow it can damage your Oriental rug. Your rug is dried gently in our specially designed, atmosphere-controlled drying room.
Step 5: Post wash Inspection and Detailing
We then detail your rug, and look for any remaining foreign matter. Careful consideration is given to the fibers and dyes. We then rinse and brush the fringes. This is an important step since most fringes normally have no color, and any blemish will detract from the beauty of your rugs. After completely drying, the rug is carefully inspected by our expert technicians.
